Our founder, Pastor Jim Hiner passed away in his home on our campus on June 1, 2025. But his dream lives on.

As an academy freshman, Jim was called into the principals office and told that since he could not pay his bill, he would have to go home.

At church that Sabbath, a local farmer asked why he was home. When Jim told him, the farmer made sure that Jim had the money to finish his education at the academy.

His wish for Oklahoma Academy was that no student would ever be turned away from Oklahoma Academy because of finances.

Our students are preparing to head out once again to three locations for outreach and to help care for historic Adventist Heritage sites.

Vietnam is a country with over 100 million people. Yet less than 10 percent are Christian.

God willing in March of 2026, most Oklahoma Academy students and a number of staff will be traveling there to carry on three different mission projects.

​

1) The music department will be giving concerts including the choir and bell choir. They will be starting in the south of the country and working their way north.

​

2) The rest of the students will be working on a construction project.

​

3) Once those two projects are finished, the senior class will stay for a further mission outreach while the rest of the students return.

​

We trust that this trip with not only be a blessing to the people of Vietnam, but it will cement a spirit of missions in the hearts and minds of all involved.

Our further dream is that people in Vietnam will be inspired to copy the vision of Oklahoma Academy. Wouldn't it be amazing to have a branch campus of Oklahoma Academy in Vietnam?

Communication is ministry. ✨ At Oklahoma Academy, our growing team of two staff and seven students in the Communications Department is working to share God’s message through media and storytelling.

We’re raising $7,500 to equip this team with the tools they need to serve effectively. Will you prayerfully consider partnering with us in this effort? Together, we can amplify voices for God’s glory.

If you registered a student this year, you most likely are already aware of our situation. We did manage to raise just over $1000 toward our needs at registration. We are now asking to help raise the rest.

We are now covering two different farm areas with staff and students.
From hauling tools to moving produce, an additional reliable truck is essential for daily work.

We recognize the need for improvement of a number of things on campus to improve not only the safety of staff and students. Those thing include improving storm shelters to provide more room and less intimidating entrances. We also need 3, 3 phase generators to keep refrigerators and freezers on campus running and provide water for the main buildings. We are attemping to raise $40,000 for this project.

The Mission Track program prepares students to serve in a mission using the skills they have acquired in their chosen track.  MORE INFO

The Mission Aviation Program trains mission pilots and puts them in the field to serve for a year after graduation. MORE INFO

Our Communications Mission Track combines creativity and purpose. From designing striking graphics to crafting compelling videos, students learn to communicate messages that inspire and change lives. Help us equip them with the tools they need!

Miguel Alonso, a 2022 graduate of Oklahoma Academy and the Mission Aviation program has a desire to further prepare for mission service by completing Oklahoma Academy's Mission Tech program. He finished his airframe and power plant certifications and has his private pilot license. He is planning on getting the rest of the training (Instrument rating, commercial, CF I & II) before deploying to the mission field. This program requires a commitment to give three years in mission service after completion. However, Miguel plans on a long term commitment.
