"Be ready for a test over this information on Thursday." This was the second class in which we had been handed a stack of papers and told to memorize the information for a test that we would receive in a few days. Well, that's just high school, right? Yeah. Normally this would be normal but it was just the first day. I thought my senior year would start more relaxed and then pick up the pace a bit as we went on. But nope. The first day was packed. Tests already piling up I was beginning to feel overwhelmed and a little like giving up. This was bad. I mean it was only the first day!
Sometimes in life, our expectations get us in trouble kind of like mine did on my first day of senior year. We expect life to be easy and relaxed. Then, when it's crazy and overwhelming all we want to do is give up. But that's not what God wants us to do. He wants us to keep going. Keep persevering. And He will help us.
Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." You can do it. You can keep going. No matter what life throws your way God is right by your side to help you. Don't give up in the hard times. Keep going and see where God takes you! And students, don't give up either. Things might seem intense right now but there is so much God wants to show you this year. Never give up!
