Stress. I, like you, experience incredible amounts of stress every day. It’s amzaing to see how the devil uses stress to put you down when you are getting the closest to God.
One week I had lots of goals. I sat on a chair in my room alone and began to realize that I was forgetting God. I was forgetting the beautiful relationship that I had with him. This had to change. I decided to connect with God every morning and ask Him to be a part of my day. That angered the devil. This was the beginning of many problems and struggles that week.
Every day I ask God to give me patience. That week people were so annoying. It was difficult to maintain patience. Every day was worse and I started to think that “goals” weren’t working for me. But God is amazing. He never gives up on any of his children, and He doesn’t get tired of helping us when we have problems.
My dad gave me the idea to wake up early one morning and pray. He told me to tell God how I was feeling. Of course for a teenager that was hard because it meant less sleep. Finally, I decided to wake up early on Sunday morning. I woke up at 4 AM. The first time it was tough to stay awake, but I did pray. I can tell you that after that crazy week, I found peace and forgiveness through God. That morning He showed me Psalm 63:1 & 6-9.
“O God, You are my God. Early will I seek You. My soul thirsts for You. My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.”
“On my bed, I remember you. I think of you through the watches of the night.”
“Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.”
“I cling to you: your right hand upholds me.”
“Those who want to kill me will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth.”
I feel chills every time I see God speaking to me through His word. Do you know that God can do the same for you? He wants you to pray and ask Him to guide you in every decision and every problem in your life. He wants to be your help in the middle of your problems. In that moment when you feel you can’t keep going anymore, remember GOD. He is going to be with you ALWAYS. Believe me, He wants to talk to you. Don’t close the door.
