Better Than Best

"How do you think the school has improved?" the imposing accreditation board asked us. The accrediting body, EASEA (E.A Sutherland Education Association), is interested in schools like ours, whose primary goal is finishing the work of Jesus, the Lord of the harvest. Several of us students sat apprehensively in a classroom facing the people who would decide if our school was worthy of accreditation. One could cut the silence with a knife. I sat in my squeaky desk thinking, "What could be changed?" I thought of our out-of-date buildings, small dorm rooms, squeaky desks, and terrible internet connection. Those things could be changed. I forget what I told those people, but fortunately, a couple

Limitless

Hranice Abyss, in the Czech Republic, is the deepest underwater cave known to man. Its observable depth reaches a staggering 1,350 feet. Starnawski, a polish explorer, has been diving into Hranice for twenty years and still can not find the bottom. Experts are questioning the limit to its unsearchable boundaries. Our theme for the 2019-2020's school year is "Higher than the Highest." It stems from the E.G. White quote "Higher than the highest human thought can reach is God's ideal for his children." What is higher than highest? In English the suffix -est implies the maximum level anything can reach ie: smallest, tallest, brightest. Inevitably nothing is higher than the highest. During morning worships last week we explore
